Adding Users in User Security

1. When you first enter the User Security option a Select A User window will display with the following options:

Note: The system is delivered with the user ID of SUPER. This is the system supervisor user profile and cannot be changed. The Supervisor has full access to all aspects of the system. It is used by the Net•Yield support department to access your system.

Note: When adding a new user the username cannot have any spaces or special characters

Select ADD A USER.

2. At the User field, assign a five-character ID code for the user.

3. Enter the user's name in the Name field.

4. In the Profile Like Another field:

If you are creating a user profile from a pre-defined user role or creating one manually, a Select A Role window will display with the following options:

 

See Security Privileges for a list of security options assigned by role.

Assign the various roles of the user will play in your system by scrolling to the appropriate selection(s) and pressing Enter. An asterisk (*) will appear confirming your selection. Press Enter to continue.

Refer to User Settings for more information about roles.

5. The Security Rights window will display the following security privileges for the user, sorted by the assigned privileges, then the unassigned privileges:

 

To change a security privilege, scroll to the security category and function description line and press Enter to change or toggle security assignment. Press F9 for a brief listing of system functions controlled by the security privilege. Refer to User Security Privileges for a more detailed definition of rights.

Move through the list of security privileges; when the appropriate rights have been assigned to the user, press F10 to continue.

6. Command options will appear:

 

Select Update when the appropriate security rights have been assigned to the user.

Important: Your changes will not be saved unless you select Update.
